Said the Vice President of Operations for a major Texas newspaper when announcing my promotion to Director of Operations for StarText (a pre-Internet videotext online version of the newspaper). And my thought was, 'Haven't I always been'?

Whether I have on my student hat, proofreading hat or mom hat, I care about the little things, the niggling details. I care about minutia, the superfluous space, the poorly-selected word in that sentence, how something looks or feels. I care about what a client or family member needs.
